Eighties Veterans go for Live Electronic Space Rock
Schaltkreis Wassermann is a veteran group of the early eighties with the cult album PSYCHOTRON.
Today Schaltkreis is back on stage as a powerful and uplifting live-act between electronica, ambient, rock and psyTrance.
Stella Wassermann is singing and treating the Kaossillator while PJ Wassermann plays the VG-99 guitar synthesizer, vocoder and keyboards. Pierre-Alain Jost hits the electronic drums.
The show is fully orchestrated with hypnotic visuals.
"LFO" (2010 version)
The 2010 version of "LFO" pretty much sums up the current Schaltkreis style: powerful, intense and melodic. We constantly keep working on our music and this is the June 2010 version of the LFO track, with a new music mix, partly new vocals and guitar, live drums by Pierre-Alain Jost and new improved visuals. But there's nothing like the live experience of Schaltkreis Wassermann so stay tuned and try to get to one of our concerts.
"Spaced Out Again" live at GOASYS II
Pooh, what a night at GOASYS II in Basel on Feb. 19th 2010! Schaltkreis Wassermann was playing like in trance and people were dancing like mad, shouting and screaming. This track here is called "Spaced Out Again", it has a longer experimental intro and then touches psyTrance territory with its tempo of 140bpm. Performed by Stella Wassermann (vocals, Kaossilator), PJ Wassermann (VG-99 guitar, vocoder) and Pierre-Alain Jost (drums).
Video shot by Cedric Spindler. GOASYS (the psychedelic multimedia dance experience) happened at Nordstern Basel.
Schaltkreis Wassermann performed at SYNCH Festival in Athens, Greece, on Sunday June 14th, 21.00h in Benaki Museum. It was great and a lovely audience. We fell in love with Athens!

When in 1982 the vinyl album PSYCHOTRON by Schaltkreis Wassermann was released it contained many elements that later became mainstream in techno and pop music. Today Schaltkreis is back again as a powerful multimedia live-act between electronica, ambient and psyTrance with Stella Wassermann singing and treating the Kaossillator while PJ Wassermann plays the VG-99 guitar synthesizer, vocoder and keyboards.
The multi-faceted music of Schaltkreis Wassermann mirrors their longtime experience with electronic music. The avantgarde cosmic veterans are fusing psychedelic electronics with Stella's spaced-out vocals and PJ's rock guitar. Their main focus is on playing live, improvising over the studio-produced backing tracks and creating a multi-sensory experience with the amazing hypnotic visual projections that are fully synchronized to the beat. A very special pleasure for travellers and connaisseurs of all kinds and ages.
